Greg Cuozzo Capt. Greg started fishing alone, almost in isolation, when he was around 7-8 years old, in local ponds and streams for anything that swam. He’s not sure how or why because he never knew anyone else who fished. His early specialty was live-lining killies for big Pickerel! Early on he never fished the salt as he was too young and had no one to take him to the beach. After medical school He went to the beach and fished, again in isolation. “My first trip I ran smack into the middle of a bluefish blitz with a 10 foot bait rod, a mullet rig, 5 ounces of lead and a few butterfish.” Hah! True story. By the end of the week he had a 7 foot St Croix rod and a Kastmaster and was having a ball. He caught his first bass that October and by the end of that fall he was the first man at the tip of the north jetty at the Barnegat Inlet most mornings. The next spring he fished with Shell E Caris and the Shore Catch guys and soon they had to hire him to learn where the fish were. Seriously, “they taught me how to think like a fish and I’ve been learning from them ever since.” He started Pajamaplugs, a custom wood plug company, shortly after catching his first bass on a wood swimmer. “I can’t tell which I love more now, making plugs or fishing.” Just kidding --- Fishing!business: Shore Catch Guide ServiceWebsite:www.Shorecatch.comEmail: gregorycuozzo@mac.comServices provided for fishing industry :Guide ServicePreferred type of fishing:Fresh Water = 0% , Saltwater = 100% (numbered in order of importance) 1 - Boat 2 - Surf 3 - Offshore Big Game 4 - FlyThe States I do most of my fishing in :NJAccomplishments : 1 - Owner Pajamaplugs custom wood plugs 2 - 1st mate winning team largest bass overall and largest bass on the fly Manhattan cup ‘06 3 - I always catch more and bigger fish than Shell and Gene!
