Capt. Gene Quigley is considered one of the top saltwater fly fishing guides in the Northeast. A native of the New Jersey Shore, Capt Gene has been fishing the inshore and offshore waters for over 30 years. He is the co-owner and operator of Shore Catch Guide Service, New Jersey’s largest fly and light tackle guide service, located in Manasquan, New Jersey. In addition to guiding, Capt Gene is also a noted outdoor writer, photographer, and seminar speaker. He is on the editorial staff for Fly Fishing in Saltwaters Magazine, and contributes regularly to Saltwater Sportsman Magazine, Fly Fisherman Magazine, The Fisherman Magazine, Sport Fishing Magazine, Boaters Digest, and is a featured speaker on the Sport Fishing Magazine’s “Learn From the Experts” Seminar series. Gene is the co-author of Saltwater Fishing, A Tactical Approach. Gene also contributes a weekly fishing column in the Hook, Line and Sinker section of the Asbury Park Press. In addition to being a member of the AQUASKINZ Prostaff team, Capt Gene sits on the national prostaff’s for St Croix Rod Company, AVET Reels, Jones Brothers Boats, Cape Horn Boats, Yamaha, Tibor Reels, Spotters Sunglasses, Raymarine, and Korkers. Currently, Gene is the Chairman of the New Jersey Professional Fly & Light Tackle Guides Association and sits on the association’s national board of directors. He has been seen on the Outdoor Life Networks (OLN) “Family Fishing Outdoors Show” and PBS’s “Vacations On The Fly” television shows.
